LICENSING
WHAT IS LICENSING?
Licensing grants a person or business the right to use artwork under specific terms, which may include duration, exclusivity, and permitted products or applications. It gives businesses access to professionally created artwork while saving the time and expense of developing designs in-house.
WHAT CAN I USE A LICENSED PRINT FOR?
Our standard unlimited exclusive license allows artwork to be used worldwide across a wide range of products and applications, with unlimited reproduction. Please review the licensing agreement for complete usage terms and restrictions.
WHAT TYPES OF LICENSES Are Available?
Most prints in our library include an unlimited exclusive license. Each print is licensed only once, to one customer, then removed from the library and never sold again. The licensee receives exclusive usage rights under the terms of the license. If you need different licensing terms, let us know!
WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT?
Our standard unlimited exclusive license provides broad, exclusive usage rights without transferring copyright ownership. Plumager®, Inc. retains copyright ownership of all artwork. If you need different licensing terms, let us know!
Can the same print be licensed to another company?
Once licensed, the artwork is exclusively yours to use and will not be licensed or sold to another customer.
How long does the licensing process take?
Licensing rights become effective as soon as payment is received. For Print Library purchases, artwork files are available for download immediately after purchase.
FILES & FORMATS
WHAT FILE FORMATS ARE INCLUDED?
Most artwork is provided in multiple file formats for your convenience, such as AI, PSD, and TIFF. Available formats are listed on each print page. If you need a different format, please contact us. Learn more about what's included with your print here.
What resolution are the files?
Raster artwork is provided at 300 dpi for high-quality printing unless otherwise noted. Resizing raster artwork may result in a loss of quality especially when enlarging. Vector files are resolution-independent and can be resized to any size without losing quality.
Are the files seamless repeats?
All artwork is provided in seamless repeat unless otherwise noted.
Are the files COLOR SEPARATED?
Most of our raster-based print files will come with a production-ready, color separated file for your convenience. Included files will be noted on the each product page.
Are the files LAYERED?
Most raster-based print files include a full-color, layered file. This file is highly editable and can be adjusted, color separated and reduced according to your specific needs. Included files are noted on each print page.
ORDERS & DOWNLOADS
Can I download my files immediately?
For Print Library purchases, artwork files are available for download immediately after purchase.
Can I re-download my files later?
Yes. You will receive an email with a download link, and all past orders will remain available for download in your account.
DO YOU ACCEPT REFUNDS?
Due to the digital nature of our artwork, purchases are final once files have been downloaded. If you experience a problem with your files, please let us know and we’ll do our best to resolve it.
