Smooth Scaling with Vector Prints

At Plumager®, we love to experiment and combine techniques to create the perfect print! Practically any look can be achieved, but the right program and tools need to be used! For sharp lines and flat colors, try a vector based print!

Vector artwork is created with mathematical formulas. It is resolution independent and can scale from a tiny postage stamp, to the size of a building without any loss in quality! Made up of points, lines, and shapes, vectors boast a level of precision not possible in raster graphics.

Vector artwork is typically created digitally. For textile printing, a limited number of spot colors are used. Each color represents a screen or roller in mass production. Premixed ink will be pulled through each to ensure a perfect color match. 

Edit your raster print in Adobe Illustrator or a comparable program. Recolor easily right in the production artwork.

*An indexed tiff file is included with all Plumager® prints unless otherwise noted, including vector based prints. If your printer requires an indexed tiff, you are ready to go!
